Ferragosto in Cagliari and southern Sardinia is a period full of events and festivals celebrating local culture and traditions. The squares and streets come alive with concerts, theatre performances, art exhibitions and folklore events. Among the events not to be missed are the food and wine festivals that offer the opportunity to taste the region’s typical products, from cheeses to wines to traditional dishes such as fregola and suckling pig.

Live music, dancing and fireworks complete a festive programme that attracts residents and tourists alike, creating a perfect atmosphere for summer evenings.

August 5 – Claudio Baglioni in concert with the show “GrandTour La vita è adesso” at the Arena Fiera in Cagliari.
August 13 – Massimo Ranieri with the show “Tutti i sogni ancora in volo” at the Arena Fiera in Cagliari.
August 20 – Nino D’Angelo with “I miei meravigliosi anni ’80… bis!” at the Arena Fiera in Cagliari.
August 27–30 – Le Notti Musicali di Cagliari (26th edition), a classical and chamber music festival at the Auditorium of the “Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina” Conservatory (Piazza Ennio Porrino). Program:

Carmine 2026 (performances in Piazza del Carmine, free admission): continues in August with theater, entertainment, and activities for children (including a special day dedicated to them on August 1).

Forte Village Events – Forte Arena

August 1, 2026, 9:00 p.m. – Fiorella Mannoia in concert at the Forte Arena with the show “Fiorella Sings Fabrizio and Ivano: Anime Salve.” A special tribute to Fabrizio De André and Ivano Fossati on the 30th anniversary of the album *Anime Salve*.

Other Events During This Period

Dinner Shows (through approximately August 13): outdoor dinner shows featuring traditional Sardinian dishes, music, and entertainment. Open to non-residents as well. Upcoming evenings in August include: August 6 (Super Bowl) and August 13 (Crazy in Love).
