In case you do not have a car  – during the summer months – there is a paid shuttle service which at scheduled times connects the city center with the beaches.

The use of the car is advisable for those who intend to stay in Alghero and in Sardinia in general to have more freedom to travel and to explore the surroundings that are not always reached by the public service and does not always have flexible hours.
